Terms & Conditions

The SAS Sustainability Hub invites SAS passengers and employees to submit sustainability ideas for a chance to contribute to future SAS initiatives, including potential implementation on a flight from Copenhagen to Los Angeles on 24 October 2024, as part of The Aviation Challenge (TAC) by the SkyTeam Alliance. By participating, all entrants agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility

  • The competition is open to Scandinavian Airlines passengers and employees.
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Multiple entries are allowed.
  • In case there are similar entries by more than one participant, only the first submitter will be eligible for the competition. Repeated ideas will be combined on the website.

2. Participation period

  • The campaign begins on 1 October 2024 at 00:01 CET and ends on 15 October 2024 at 23:59 CET.
  • Entries submitted after the closing date will not be considered for the competition related to the TAC flight, but participants may still submit ideas for potential future implementation by SAS.

3. How to participate

  • Participants must submit their sustainability ideas via the SAS Sustainability Hub by completing the form on the website.
  • No registration, purchase, or payment is required to participate.
  • Submitted ideas will be reviewed for qualification before appearing on the platform. If similar ideas are submitted, they may be combined into a single entry, with credit given to the first participant.
  • Participants acknowledge that SAS has no obligation to implement any idea submitted.

4. Voting & Selection of winners

  • Public voting is open to everyone without registration. Votes are displayed in real time on the website, with counts visible to all participants and viewers.
  • Only ideas submitted between 1 October – 15 October 2024 will be eligible for recognition. If multiple similar ideas are submitted, the first unique submission will be acknowledged.
  • Participants selected for awards will be notified by email by 21 October.
  • SAS reserves the right to disqualify any participant or submission if there is evidence of voting manipulation or unfair practices.

5. Award specifications

  • The 20 participants whose ideas receive the most votes will be awarded SAS Lounge Vouchers.
  • All EuroBonus members who submit an idea will receive a Conscious Traveler step, which will be applied to their account by 31 October 2024.
  • To qualify for the Conscious Traveler step, EuroBonus members must provide an accurate 9-digit EuroBonus number during submission. SAS will not be responsible for verifying and modifying incorrect numbers, and the step will only be provided for valid submissions.
  • Employees whose ideas are selected will receive a special recognition, which may include internal awards.
  • SAS reserves the right to modify or substitute the award offerings at any time without prior notice.

6. Use of ideas

  • SAS may consider certain ideas for future sustainability initiatives but is under no obligation to implement any submitted idea.
  • If an idea is selected for implementation, recognition will be given to the contributor, but no financial will be provided.
  • Participants waive any claims related to the use or non-use of their ideas.

7. Data protection & privacy policy

  • Personal data provided during submission will be handled in accordance with SAS’s Privacy Policy.
  • Email addresses provided during the submission will be used only to communicate with participants about the competition and its results.

8. General conditions

  • The same conditions apply to all participants, and the selection process is final.
  • SAS reserves the right to modify or terminate the competition at any time, without notice, due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • By participating, entrants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
